"The small goals are necessary to succeed in achieving the larger goals."

Reflecting on how I got to this moment in my life has been a compilation of the big and small choices I have made in my life. But in this entry, I am going to focus on the small things.
The other day an old Facebook Memory popped up. I posted a Facebook status 6 years ago as a reflection on my goals. “I think I hold myself back because I think too much about my long-term goals, instead of focusing on what I can do right now! Steps to move forward to reach those goals. Big and small, everything counts. Most of the time the small goals are necessary to succeed in achieving the larger goals. Just some thoughts.”
These small goals are habits and choices. It is when you wake up, what you do with your day, and prepare for bed. It is what you eat, what you wear, who you surround yourself with, what you learn, how you grow, what you tell yourself, how you speak to others, etc…
Some things I have implemented in my day-to-day life:
Starting my day with a cup of coffee, because that brings me joy.
Reading every day. This generally is news articles, or books primarily on business development, leadership, emotional intelligence, or creativity.
Having conversations / spending time with people who I love, who inspire me, who I can be my authentic self around and encourage growth.
Ending my day with Prayer/Meditation and Stretching.
These are the small daily habits I have created for myself to bring more peace and happiness within. Being someone who manages daily anxiety, these choices have helped my mental health in a positive way. I am grateful for these moments, they help to keep me motivated, on track, focused and move me closer to accomplishing my bigger goals.
What is something you do each day that brings you joy?
